My Friend
The value of a trusting friend
I never really knew
Until one lucky day I chanced
To find a friend like you
It seems to guide my every step
And every deed I do
To know that I've a loyal friend
To tell my wishes to.
For friendship brings a state of mind
That manifests a peace,
A warming glow of happiness,
A meaningful release.
If friendship strengthens as it grows,
The years that are to be
Shall be especially blessed, friend,
With joys for you and me.
